Fuerteventura Beach Guides and Photos.

The Canary Island of Fuerteventura really does have some magnificent beaches with literally dozens to pick from on this beach-lovers Island.

Fuerteventura's Beaches vary from quite busy to just about totally deserted so you can take your pick as your mood takes you for the type of beach you fancy and whether you want to wear anything or not whilst swimming and sunbathing. You can also easily find almost deserted stretches of beach and coastline on the Island for walking with or without clothing if you wish. With only about four or so hours flying time out to the Canary Islands from the UK and with lots of cheap flights to chose from it is easy to want to take a quick short break out to Fuerteventura during the winter and have a nice languish on one or two of the Island's many lovely beaches.
Quite a few of the beaches on Fuerteventura have restaurants and cafes available especially on the Costa Calma side of the island as well as beach chair and sun shade hire etc. We have not indicated where naturism is ok since generally it's a personal choice as to how much or little you wear on Fuerteventura's various beaches.

A nice long and enjoyable naturist beach walk on Fuerteventura.

If you enjoy a bit of long distance walking in the nude then the 16km walk along the beach from Fuerteventura's Morro Jable to Costa Calma beach is ideal and quite a few visitors seem to do it at least once whilst on holiday on Fuerteventura. Please see our Fuerteventura Walks topic for a little more on this walk. Another popular area of beach where naturists particlarly seem to gather is towards the top of Fuerteventura around the extensive Corralejo sand dunes. However for swimming around some of Corralejo's beaches it should be noted that the sea does have some pretty weird and potentially dangerous currents in places so take note of the warning flags.

One of Fuerteventura's features is the sometimes very strong wind. There is nothing quite like strolling down a Fuerteventura beach into a headwind - almost bent double to make headway while trying to avoid the flying sand. But then if one part of Fuerteventura is subject to strong winds you can switch to a beach on another part of the coast easily enough, there are plenty of beaches after all.
